About the Position

I am looking for 2 highly-qualified and motivated PhD students to join the Microalgae Biomanufacturing Lab at the University of Waterloo. Position starts in either Winter or Spring 2025. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology or similar. A strong record of previous research experience is required. Bio

Valerie Ward is an associate professor in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Waterloo. Her research focuses on biochemical engineering, industrial biotechnology, synthetic biology, metabolic engineering, microalgae biotechnology, recombinant protein production, and ionic liquids.
