About the Position

Fluid Mechanics Research Laboratory ( www.fmrl.uwaterloo.ca ) at the University of Waterloo has multiple, fully funded PhD positions with a flexible start date in 2024/2025. The potential projects include, but are not limited to, research in airfoil/wing/blade aerodynamics, flow control, flow-induced vibrations, dispersion and control of aerosols, mobility of surface-deposited droplets in shear flows. About the Professor

Bio

Serhiy Yarusevych is a Professor in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering with a focus on fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. His research involves experimental, numerical, and analytical approaches in areas such as flows over lifting surfaces, flow control, wind turbines, and unmanned air vehicles. He leads the Fluid Mechanics Research Lab and has received recognition for his work through various awards.
