S. Mehmet Özsoy is an academic specializing in Financial Economics with a robust interest in Asset Pricing, Financial Intermediation, and Climate Finance. He earned his Ph.D. from Duke University in 2013 and holds a Master's degree from Koc University, Istanbul (2008), as well as a Bachelor's degree from Bogazici University, Istanbul (2006). Dr. Özsoy has made significant contributions to the field through his research and publications, including works on bank regulation and externalities in financial markets. He has actively participated in academic conferences, achieving recognition such as the Semi-finalist Paper Award at the FMA Annual Meeting in Orlando in 2015 and the Paper Award at the FMA European Conference in Maastricht in 2014. Currently, he teaches graduate courses including Financial Data Analytics and options and futures at Concordia University, where he continues to develop his research and engage with students in the field of finance.
