Martin Pinsonnault is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Western Ontario. His main research interests lie in the field of symplectic topology and geometry, which is a branch of mathematics that focuses on the study of symplectic manifolds and their geometric structures, naturally arising in the context of classical and quantum mechanics. He also teaches various mathematics courses, contributing to both undergraduate and graduate education within the university. In the upcoming Fall 2024 term, he will be teaching the graduate course MATH 9601A - Symplectic Geometry, along with a calculus course, CALC 1000A section 008. With a commitment to both research and teaching, Martin actively engages in advancing knowledge in his field while mentoring the next generation of mathematicians.
