Stéphane Chrétien is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at Université Laval, where he serves as the Head of the Carmand-Normand Jean-Turmel Trading Rooms. His research interests encompass various aspects of finance including stock markets, asset evaluation, portfolio performance, financial management, and financial economics. He focuses on the behaviors of financial markets, econometrics, and empirical finance. Chrétien has a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he has published extensively in recognized academic journals. He is also actively involved in mentoring students at various levels of higher education, particularly within finance and investments. As an Associate Researcher at the Laboratoire d’ingénierie financière de l’Université Laval (LABIFUL), he has contributed significantly to financial research and education within the institution. He has participated in numerous academic conferences as a commentator and speaker, showcasing his expertise and ongoing contributions to the finance field.
