Biography

R. Raj Singh is a Professor of Philosophy at Brock University, specializing in Contemporary Continental Philosophy, with a focus on key figures such as Heidegger and Schopenhauer. His interests extend to the philosophies of India, including Vedanta, Buddhism, and the teachings of Gandhi. Singh has a strong competence in History of Western Philosophy, Ancient Greek Philosophy, Religion, Aesthetics, and the Philosophy of Social Science. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from Panjab University, along with a Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa. His academic work is characterized by a profound engagement with both traditional Western philosophical thought and diverse Eastern philosophical frameworks, contributing to a richer understanding of contemporary issues in philosophy.
