Paula Waters is an Associate Professor at Sherbrooke University in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, specifically within the Department of Pediatrics. Her research focuses on inherited metabolic disorders and inborn errors of metabolism. She has been heavily involved in several professional societies related to her field, including the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and the Society of Inherited Metabolic Disorders.
