Dr. Robert Mann

Professor

Biography

Professor Mann works on gravitation and quantum physics, focusing on foundational questions of physics, particularly experimentally tested theories. He leads a lively research group comprising ten graduate and undergraduate students, addressing several intriguing issues at the intersection of physics and relativity, such as the influence of quantum computing on gravitational theories and the possibilities surrounding black holes and the Big Bang. His research interests encompass a range of topics including gravitation, particle physics, tests of gravitational theory, quantum gravity, string theory, and astrophysics. Professor Mann has made significant contributions to the field and has been actively involved in various professional associations. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching and supervision, further demonstrating his commitment to educating the next generation of physicists.
