Dr. Kendrick Smith

Professor

Biography

Kendrick Smith is a theoretical physicist and member of the faculty at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago and has held various esteemed positions, including a Spitzer Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Cambridge. His research interests center on cosmology, incorporating theoretical physics, computational physics, and statistical analysis. Smith is notable for his involvement in large-scale experiments such as WMAP and Planck, which study the cosmic microwave background (CMB). His current research includes analyzing CMB data for classification of observable signals and developing new analysis techniques for radio astronomy. He remains active in the academic community, mentoring students and contributing to advancing knowledge in his field through seminars, publications, and collaborations.
