Hanif M. Ladak received his B.A.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto in 1991 and his M.Eng. degree from McGill University in 1994, specializing in Electrical Engineering. He completed his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at McGill University in 1998. His doctoral research focused on measuring and modeling the mechanical behavior of the middle ear. Ladak was an NSERC postdoctoral fellow at the Imaging Research Laboratories of the Robarts Research Institute from 1997 to 2000, where he worked on designing and testing medical image processing algorithms. In 2000, he joined Western University as a faculty member, currently holding the position of Professor with joint appointments in the Departments of Medical Biophysics and Electrical & Computer Engineering. He is also a key member of Western’s Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program and serves as Co-Director of Research in Otolaryngology. In his professional affiliations, Dr. Ladak is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario.
