Boyu WANG is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Western University. He is also an affiliated faculty member of the Brain Mind Institute at the Vector Institute. Before joining Western, he completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a Ph.D. from McGill University, where he was supervised by Joelle Pineau, and has previous degrees from the University of Macau and Tianjin University. His research focuses on trustworthy machine learning, emphasizing the development of intelligent agents that exhibit real-world versatility. In addition to his work on machine learning, he applies techniques from computer vision, natural language processing, biomedical engineering, and neuroscience. He has received significant funding for collaborative projects and has served in prestigious roles such as Area Chair for various international machine learning conferences.
