Biography

Anthony Deschênes is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Université Laval. He specializes in machine learning and combinatorial optimization, focusing on their applications in industrial contexts. His research involves integrating output from machine learning algorithms as inputs into combinatorial optimization models. This includes work on optimizing electric vehicle routing, where he utilizes machine learning models to predict electricity consumption. He is also involved in real-time optimization of parameters based on sound anomalies detected in industrial settings. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Laval, his academic background includes a Master's and Bachelor's degree from the same institution, reflecting a solid foundation in computational methods and data analytics.
