Bita Amani is a Professor at Queen's University, specializing in Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from York University, a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Doctor of Juridical Science from the University of Toronto. Her academic career includes distinguished visiting positions at prestigious institutions such as Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Oxford. Professor Amani is also the Co-Director of the Feminist Legal Studies program at Queen's. She has received numerous fellowships and awards including the SSHRC doctoral fellowships and the Iranian Women’s Organization Ontario High Achiever Award. Amani has published widely in the field of Intellectual Property law, co-authoring notable texts and contributing articles to various academic journals. Her areas of research interest include Feminist Legal Studies and Intellectual Property law, where she explores the intersection of these fields through scholarly discussions and publications. Amani actively engages in traveling to deliver lectures and presentations related to her research.
