Patrice Perron is a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke. He has extensive experience in endocrinology, lipidology, genetics, and the pathophysiology of diabetes. With a career that spans over two decades, he has significantly contributed to research in developmental origins of childhood obesity and gestational diabetes, along with numerous funded projects from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. His post-doctoral studies in endocrinology and internal medicine were conducted at the Université de Sherbrooke, leading to a deep interest in the intersection of genetics and metabolism. He holds multiple accolades acknowledging his contributions to the medical field, including the 2011 Excellence Award from the Board of Directors of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke.
