Biography

Antonio Rossini is a Professor of Italian Studies and the Head of the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of Windsor. He also serves as the Director of the Humanities Research Group. His academic journey transitioned Classical Medieval Studies into Italian Studies, focusing on Linguistics and Argumentation Studies. Rossini’s current research is dedicated to the structure, semantics, and logics present in constitutional documents from antiquity to modernity. His research areas include Classical Philology, Dante Studies, Film Studies, Argumentation Theory, and Comparative Constitutional Law. He has authored several significant publications, contributing to the understanding and appreciation of classical literature and its relevance in contemporary discussions. His work is characterized by a thorough examination of classical texts and their influence across different domains.
