Associate Professor

Biography

Jacqui Gagnon is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Regina. She completed her PhD in Accounting Finance at Lancaster University in 2019 and holds a Master’s degree in Research Accounting Financial Management from the same institution obtained in 2013. In addition to her academic qualifications, she is a Certified General Accountant, now recognized as a CPA, since 2010. Gagnon also earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Regina in 2006. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Introduction to Financial Accounting, Introduction to Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, and Accounting Theory. As a research scholar, her interests lie in corporate disclosure, computational linguistics, banking, and disability diversity. Gagnon is committed to enhancing students' understanding of complex accounting principles through innovative teaching strategies and engaging research activities.
