Jia Xu received his doctoral degree in Computer Science from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, in 1984. Following this, he undertook postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Victoria and at the University of Toronto, joining the Department shortly thereafter in 1986. His general research interests focus on real-time embedded systems, exploring the integration and optimization of these systems for various applications. Through his research, he aims to address the challenges associated with developing robust and efficient real-time systems, contributing significantly to advancements in the field.
