Biography

Adeyemi Adesina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Windsor. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor, an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Concordia University, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Ilorin. His research expertise lies in materials engineering and characterization, particularly focusing on cement and concrete-based materials. He specializes in sustainable low-carbon cementitious materials and carbon sequestration, as well as the design, evaluation, and optimization of construction materials using artificial intelligence. Adesina is actively involved in professional affiliations, serving as an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering and as a Section Editor for the Discover Civil Engineering Journal published by Springer. He is also a member of various technical committees for significant organizations including the American Concrete Institute, ASTM International, and RILEM, where he contributes to standards development in the field.
