Kevin Flynn is an Assistant Professor in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan. He holds a Bachelor's degree from McGill University, a Master's degree from Dalhousie University, and a Ph.D. from McGill University. Specializing in 19th Century Canadian literature and culture, his research primarily focuses on Canadian poetry, particularly its literary representations of the railway in Canada and the influence of American Transcendentalism. Dr. Flynn has published previously on concerns related to literary representations in 19th-century Canada. His current research and teaching interests are in Canadian speculative fiction. He also serves as the editor of 'Essays Canadian Writing', contributing to the academic discourse in Canadian literary criticism and exploring the shifts within the Canadian canon away from traditional literary value to various theoretical positions.
