Biography

Arturo Rubalcava is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at the University of Regina. He obtained his PhD in Finance from Concordia University in 2002, an MBA in General Business from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986, and a BA in Economics from ITESM in Monterrey in 1981. His teaching includes courses such as Introduction to Finance, Finance: Theory & Application, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, and Capital Markets and Financial Institutions. His research interests focus on International Corporate Finance, Market Efficiency, Capital/Ownership Structure, and Equity Earnings, particularly concentrating on Canadian firms listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He combines theoretical knowledge with practical insights to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of finance. Through his academic and professional activities, Rubalcava has contributed to the advancement of knowledge in finance, enhancing the educational experience for his students and the broader academic community.
