Christian Dippel is an Associate Professor at Ivey Business School, specializing in Strategy and Policy related to International Business. He completed his Ph.D. at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he received multiple prestigious awards for his dissertation, including the Tom Easterbrook Fellowship and the Hartle Award. Prior to joining Ivey, he spent a decade at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and worked as a Research Associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Christian has held consulting positions with the World Bank, Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank. His research, funded by the National Science Foundation and SSHRC in Canada, has been published in top economics journals such as Econometrica and the American Economic Review. He teaches courses that explore the intersection of business strategy, global macroeconomic trends, and technological disruption, and was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award in the Executive MBA program. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he co-founded technology scale-up ventures focusing on Data as a Service (DaaS) and digital media products, contributing to research and frameworks for AI readiness in businesses.
