Isam Faik is an Associate Professor at the Ivey Business School, Western University, specializing in Information Systems and Sustainability. His research focuses on the relationship between digital transformation and institutional change, specifically examining the changing nature of work, digital inequality, and online social movements. His work addresses various contexts such as healthcare, agriculture, sharing economy platforms, government, and FinTech. Isam's research has been published in leading Information Systems journals, including MIS Quarterly, the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Information & Organization, and the Information Systems Journal. He serves as a Senior Editor for Information & Organization. Isam earned his Ph.D. in Management Studies as a Gates Scholar at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, and he completed both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering at McGill University. Prior to joining Ivey Business School, he held faculty positions at the National University of Singapore and the University of Southampton.
