Biography

Dominic Larivière is a full professor in analytical chemistry and radioecology at Laval University, where he has led the Laboratory of Radioecology since 2009. This research laboratory focuses on evaluating radioactivity in the environment and biota. He is a recognized expert in radiochemistry and the detection of radionuclides in the environment, particularly regarding actinides and short-lived radionuclides using inorganic mass spectrometry. Over the past 20 years, Professor Larivière has garnered international acclaim in nuclear forensics, automated radiochemical separation, and environmental monitoring of radioactivity through inorganic mass spectrometry. He has received several awards, including the Young Researcher Award from Health Canada in 2008 and the Founders’ Award from the Radiochemical Radiobioassay Measurement Society in 2017.
