Biography

Lizbeth Olivia Escobedo Bravo is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University. She holds a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree from the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada, and a PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California. Her research aims to understand how people interact with environments, developing, implementing, and evaluating the effects of technology to primarily benefit vulnerable populations and their caregivers. She focuses on improving the quality of life for disadvantaged groups through the design and implementation of applications that address specific needs. Lizbeth conducts research on various topics including Human-Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous Computing, Children-Computer Interaction, and Accessible Computing. Her work involves identifying developmental delays in children, particularly those with autism, and she frequently collaborates with pregnant mothers and young adults to enhance their interaction with technology. Through her innovative research, she strives to create solutions that improve living conditions and support for those in need.
