Biography

Prosenjit Bose is a Chancellor's Professor and Associate Vice President (Research International) at the School of Computer Science at Carleton University. He specializes in algorithms, data structures, and computational geometry, with significant contributions to areas such as graph theory and image processing. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Mathematics followed by a Master of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, and culminating in a Ph.D. from McGill University in 1995. Dr. Bose's research focuses on the design and analysis of algorithms, applied geometric computing, discrete computational geometry, and various aspects of discrete mathematics. He is also engaged in exploring the applications of these fields in manufacturing, computer vision, and pattern recognition. Throughout his career, he has led various initiatives and contributed to significant advancements in graph algorithms and randomized algorithms, influencing both theoretical and practical domains within computer science.
