Dr. Xinyue Lei

Biography

Xinyue Lei is a research assistant at the MQ Photonics Research Centre at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. She graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a B.Sc. degree (Hons) and from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications with a B.Eng. degree in Telecommunications Engineering Management. Additionally, she completed a Master of Engineering degree with excellence award from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in 2017. Xinyue then pursued and completed her Ph.D. at UNSW in 2021, focusing on the fields of photonics and electro-optics, specifically in the development of light-based brain interfaces. Her current research interests include ultrafast lasers, the development of compact liquid crystal-based optoelectronic devices, optical neural interfaces, integrated chip lasers, photonic device fabrication, and supercontinuum generation.
