Dr. Monica Sherin

Biography

Monica Sherin is currently a Master of Research candidate at Macquarie University, focusing on the role of glial actin cytoskeleton in tauopathies. She began her academic journey at Temple University, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in November 2018. Following her graduation, Monica gained practical experience as an intern at the Concepts Cognition Laboratory under Dr. Jamie Reilly. In 2019, she initiated her research career at the University of Pennsylvania as a Clinical Research Coordinator, where she worked in the Cardiac Electrophysiology department under the supervision of Dr. Robert Schaller and Dr. Pasquale Santangeli. Later, she transitioned to the Penn Memory Center, collaborating with Dr. David Wolk. Monica moved to Sydney in 2023 to further her studies.
