Professor Viviana Wuthrich is a clinical psychologist and the Director of the Macquarie University Lifespan Health & Wellbeing Research Centre. Her research primarily focuses on understanding and treating mental disorders across the lifespan, with a specific interest in the psychological mechanisms underlying anxiety and depression. She has developed numerous psychological interventions for children, adolescents, and older adults that have been tested in randomized controlled trials. Her work seeks to translate evidence-based practices into both public and private mental health settings, particularly schools. She is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and has held significant roles such as the Deputy Head (Research) of the Department of Psychology at Macquarie University.
