Marcia Santiago Scarpin is an Assistant Professor at Concordia College and serves as the Program Director for the M.S. in Business Analytics. She holds a Ph.D. in Operations Supply Chain Management from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) and has extensive academic credentials, including an M.Sc. in Business Administration from the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB), an MBA in Operations Management from the State University of Londrina, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the State University of Parana. With over ten years of experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, Dr. Scarpin is passionate about education and research. She emphasizes the importance of integrating perspectives on race, gender, and equality into her courses, notably participating in the Women Leadership: Program for Emerging Leaders at Harvard Business School. Her research focuses on global supply chain management, supply chain risk management, resilience, and sustainable supply chains, and she has published in top-tier journals such as IJPE, PP&C, and IJRDM. Additionally, she is an active member of the Brazilian research group on global supply chains and volunteers as a mentor through SCORE.org, helping small businesses thrive.
