Biography

Klaus E. Meyer is a Professor at the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, specializing in International Business. Since joining in 2017, he has established himself as a leading scholar in the field, focusing on the strategies of multinational enterprises (MNEs), particularly regarding their entry into emerging economies like China and Eastern Europe. His research examines how local contexts influence MNEs' operational strategies, including the impact of political disruptions on international business activities and sustainable practices. With over 100 published articles in renowned journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies and the Strategic Management Journal, Meyer has made significant contributions to academic literature, including co-authoring the textbook 'International Business' with Mike Peng. He has held various leadership roles, including Vice President of the Academy of International Business and Area Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies. In 2021, he became a member of the Executive Committee of the International Management Division of the Academy of Management.
