Biography

Ahmed Kamel is a Professor of Computer Science at Concordia College. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 1994 and holds an MBA from North Dakota State University (2013). His research focuses on artificial intelligence and knowledge-based systems, exploring various areas of knowledge representation and the integration of software design with linked problem-solving agents. Kamel emphasizes the social impact of computers and actively participates as an invited speaker at national and international events. He is committed to being a positive role model for his students and continually seeks to enhance his teaching approaches by integrating current research into his classes. Kamel strives to motivate students to pursue further knowledge via exposure to scholarly literature and research tools crucial for their success post-graduation or in their academic endeavors.
