Biography

Heather McDougall, J.D., is a mission-driven entrepreneur and storyteller currently serving as the Program Director and Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Concordia College. With a Juris Doctor degree with honors from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, she has over a decade of experience as a co-founder and CEO of a sustainable products company, where she notably led an international mass market strategic exit in early 2022. As a member of the investment committee at 701 Fund, a venture capital fund based in Grand Forks, North Dakota, she has made significant contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape. Heather is also a frequent keynote speaker and executive consultant on topics such as leadership and global sustainability, collaborating with organizations like Edward Jones and South by Southwest (SXSW). At Concordia, she is actively involved in mentoring student entrepreneurship programming and overseeing the Cobbertunity Fund Summer Entrepreneurship Retreat. Outside of her professional endeavors, Heather enjoys singing, yoga, and spending time in nature with her husband and baby.
