Biography

Jason Nguyen is an Assistant Professor at the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, specializing in Operations Management and Sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Operations Management from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and a Master’s degree in Operations Management from Singapore Management University. His academic journey also includes an engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. Jason's research focuses on the global movement towards a circular sustainable economy, aiming to minimize resource consumption, energy use, and emissions. Utilizing game theory, optimization, econometrics, and big data analytics, he rigorously analyzes how operational decision configurations and organizational antecedents influence firms' sustainable choices and their resulting performance. His primary research objective is to provide managerial insights that inform the development and implementation of effective environmental policies and incentive schemes. Jason has contributed to prestigious peer-reviewed journals such as Management Science and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and he is a founding faculty member of the College of Business and Management at VinUniversity, Hanoi, Vietnam, as well as a former lecturer at UNSW Business School, University of New South Wales, Australia.
