Colleen McFaul is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She completed her Medical Doctorate at the University of Ottawa in 2012, followed by an Anesthesia Residency at the same institution in 2017. Further enhancing her expertise, she pursued a Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2018. Her research primarily focuses on the pharmacogenetics of Celecoxib in relation to pediatric adenotonsillectomy, as demonstrated in her published work in the Canadian Journal of Anesthesiology. Dr. McFaul's professional interests include Thoracic Anesthesia, Vascular Anesthesia, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS), and Medical Education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is committed to advancing the field of anesthesiology through her teaching and research activities, contributing to improved patient care and student learning experiences.
