Nenad Stojanović has been a member of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Geneva since September 2018. He holds degrees from prestigious institutions including a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of Geneva, a Master's from McGill University, and a PhD from the University of Zurich, as well as a Habilitation from the University of Lucerne. Stojanović is affiliated with the Institute for Citizenship Studies and takes an active role in various research initiatives, particularly in the area of democratic innovations. He is also a visiting professor at the University of Bologna in the fall of 2025 and a senior fellow at the Swiss Institute in Rome. Stojanović serves as the co-editor of the Swiss Political Science Review and co-president of the Demoscan association. His research interests focus on democratic innovations, comparative and Swiss politics, political theory, and the study of electoral discrimination and sortition. Throughout his career, he has been involved in diverse research projects, including those funded by national and European research bodies such as the Swiss National Science Foundation and the European Research Council.
