Marie-Claude Jacques is an Associate Professor at the University of Sherbrooke's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, specializing in nursing. Her primary research interests focus on Mental Health, homelessness, qualitative research, stigmatization, and psychiatry. She has led several projects funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council aimed at understanding the experiences of individuals facing mental health issues and homelessness. Jacques is engaged in exploring innovative narratives in psychiatric care and has worked on co-producing knowledge around diagnostic shadowing in mental health. She teaches various courses related to mental health care and nursing interventions, encouraging students to engage with real-world issues in the field.
