Biography

Martha Merrow is an accomplished Professor Emeritus in Medical Psychology at the Faculty of Medicine of LMU Munich. She earned her Habilitation in Medical Psychology in 2001, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of circadian rhythmicity. Her doctoral research completed at Tufts University Medical School investigated how rIL-4 influences murine NK LAK killing within different precursor cell subsets. Merrow's academic career includes roles as Department Chair at LMU Munich from 2012 to 2023, and a Professor in Molecular Genetic Chronobiology at the University of Groningen, where she held a tenure-track position. Her extensive research experience spans numerous years, contributing significantly to the fields of chronobiology and medical psychology.
