Biography

Michel Gravel is a Professor in the College of Arts and Science at the University of Saskatchewan, specializing in Organic Chemistry. He has a diverse research portfolio involving areas such as N-Heterocyclic Carbenes, Organocatalysis, and various synthetic methodologies including Diels-Alder Reactions and Hydrogen-Bonding Catalysis. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, obtained in 2004, and a B.Sc. from Université de Sherbrooke in 1997. Michel actively supervises graduate studies in his research group, where he focuses on advanced synthetic techniques and the innovative applications of carbenes in organic synthesis. He is committed to tackling significant challenges through his research endeavors and has contributed extensively to the field through various publications and collaborations.
