Dr. Robert Marriott

Professor

Biography

Robert Marriott is a Professor and the NSERC/ASRL Industrial Research Chair in Applied Sulfur Chemistry at the University of Calgary. He has a robust background as an experimental thermodynamicist with extensive research interests focusing on high-pressure sour gas properties and applied sulfur chemistry. His group specializes in optimizing gas conditioning in the presence of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), bulk fluid separation, ionic liquids, and high-pressure water-hydrocarbon solution chemistry, including hydrates. His research is foundational in understanding the fundamental properties of elemental sulfur under industrial conditions.
