Biography

Jason Neyers is a Professor of Law at Western University, Canada. He holds a BA with Honours from Western, an LL.B with Great Distinction from McGill, and an M.St with Distinction from Oxford. His scholarly work has been published in leading law journals in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Singapore, and he has co-edited and co-authored 18 books on private law, including 'Fridman’s Law Torts Canada' and 'Fridman’s Law Contracts Canada'. His work has been cited by the Supreme Courts in Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and the High Court in Australia. Neyers has served as a visiting scholar at multiple international law schools, including those in Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland. He is a founding member of the Tort Law Research Group at Western University and has been recognized multiple times for his teaching excellence. In 2019, he was named the Jay McLeod Professor of the Year by Western’s Student Legal Society and was honored as the Faculty Scholar in 2015 for outstanding scholarly achievements. His current research interests include the supervision of graduate students in the fields of private law.
