Peder Klit is an expert in machine elements and machine design. Machine elements include screws, springs, gears, bearings, shafts, etc. The design and assembly of machine elements are selected and dimensioned so they can perform the desired function. Peder Klit's research area is the lubrication of machine elements. Proper lubrication is crucial to achieve reliable operation of a machine. He was employed at the Denmark Engineering Academy in 1984 and became affiliated with the Institute of Construction and Control Technology in 1996, currently working at the Institute of Mechanical Technology, Section of Solid Mechanics.
