Isabelle Dufour is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke, where she conducts significant research in the fields of health services utilization, epidemiology, biostatistics, and geriatric studies. She has expertise in chronic diseases among elderly individuals, major neurocognitive disorders, and dementia. Dufour holds various certifications, including from the Institute of Aging and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University and her PhD at the Université de Sherbrooke. Her work addresses critical aspects of health care transitions and social participation for older adults with complex health needs. She is involved in several research grants focusing on health equity, care models for dementia, chronic pain management, and health care trajectory analysis. Dufour is passionate about disseminating research findings and improving home care services for vulnerable populations through innovative methodologies and intersectoral collaboration.
