Biography

Dr. Mehran Ahmadi is a lecturer at Simon Fraser University in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, specializing in Sustainable Energy Engineering. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechatronic Systems Engineering at Simon Fraser University in 2014. His academic focus includes research into sustainable buildings, net-zero buildings, energy modeling, cooling and refrigeration systems, as well as HVAC systems. With a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and extensive teaching experience, Dr. Ahmadi incorporates hands-on approaches into courses such as Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. His work is characterized by a strong emphasis on practical applications in energy systems and engineering design. Beyond teaching, he has authored several publications addressing advanced topics in thermal management and energy efficiency. Dr. Ahmadi is committed to integrating innovative solutions in engineering practices to promote sustainability in the built environment.
