Dr. Amirali Mahpour is an Assistant Professor at Queen's University in the Department of Medicine, specifically in the Division of Respirology. He graduated from the University of British Columbia medical school and underwent further postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Respirology Sleep Disorder Medicine at Western University. Dr. Mahpour has clinical interests in General Respirology, Sleep Disorder Medicine, and Non-Invasive Ventilation. He is actively involved in clinical teaching for Respirology fellows and residents within the Respirology Sleep Medicine programs. Additionally, he serves as a Junior Editor for the Canadian Journal of Respiratory, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine (CJRCCSM). Dr. Mahpour holds several credentials including being a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC), a diplomat of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (DRCPSC), a diplomat of the European Respiratory Society (HERMES), and an expert somnologist of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS).
