Biography

Jennifer Garard is the Research Manager for the Sustainability Digital Age initiative at Future Earth, where she coordinates, advances, and oversees research-related activities. Additionally, she serves as a Science Officer, applying her expertise in sustainability. Before her current role, Jen was involved with the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change in Berlin, Germany, where she worked on scientific assessments and contributed to public policy in relation to ethics. Her strong academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from McGill University (2008), a Master of Environmental Assessment from Concordia University (2013), and a PhD from Technische Universität Berlin, focusing on “Stakeholder Engagement at the Science-Policy Interface” in 2018. Throughout her career, Jen has been dedicated to addressing complex environmental challenges and fostering innovative solutions through collaborative research.
