Biography

Lisa Timmerman is an Instructor II at the College of Nursing, University of Manitoba. She graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Manitoba in 2012 and gained clinical experience in adult palliative care sectors. The desire for educating nursing students began early in her career while working as a preceptor for undergraduate nursing students. In 2016, she became part of the team that developed a new Supportive Palliative Care theory course within the revised undergraduate nursing curriculum at the College of Nursing. Upon completing her Master's in Nursing degree, she began her role as an Instructor II, where she teaches skills and clinical theory courses alongside continuing her passion for nursing education and palliative care via her teaching of the Supportive Palliative Care theory course.
