Kristin Snoddon is a Professor and Graduate Program Director at the School of Early Childhood Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her expertise spans inclusive education policy, sign language planning policy in early childhood, literacy, bilingualism, and disability studies. Dr. Snoddon has engaged in collaborative work with deaf communities to develop sign language early literacy programming for young deaf children and their parents. Her extensive research has focused on creating a parent curriculum in American Sign Language that aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. She also investigates policy issues concerning inclusive education, sign language rights, and acquisition planning for American Sign Language (ASL). Dr. Snoddon's current research emphasizes sign language ideologies and their implications for understanding the roles of deaf interpreters in Canada and the Caribbean.
