Biography

Patricia Pottie conducts clinical research in the area of distance interventions targeting behaviors, anxiety, enuresis, recurrent pain, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and postpartum depression. As a co-founder of the Strongest Families Institute, her work focuses on providing cost-effective and accessible programs aimed at removing barriers to care and improving health outcomes. Her initiatives include randomized controlled trials assessing distance-delivered parent training for childhood disruptive behavior and interventions for women experiencing postpartum depression. Pottie’s extensive experience in mental health services, combined with her commitment to knowledge translation and e-health, plays a pivotal role in enhancing the therapeutic alliance while ensuring visual anonymity for participants. Pottie’s research contributions are widely recognized, with several publications in reputable journals highlighting her innovative approaches to mental health treatment and support.
