Daekwon Blair holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies and a Master of Industrial Relations (MIR) from Queen's University. His academic journey has fostered a deep interest in the intersections of power, justice, and labour employment law, particularly within the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) in Canada and the global market. Through his MIR experience, grounded in theoretical applied research, he has cultivated critical thinking skills and practical expertise that bridge the gap between legal theory and industrial relations practice. Daekwon is currently pursuing an LL.M. with the aim of investigating how AI can enhance access to justice and improve the efficiency of labour employment law in an ethical manner. His ultimate goal is to contribute to the existing literature on the design of AI systems that meet industry standards and serve the interconnected nature of human resources and labour relations ecosystems. He plans to pursue a J.D. to further uphold the principles of justice as a legal practitioner.
