Sandra Céspedes is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia University. She has a background as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and was the Head of Research at NIC Chile Research Labs, Universidad de Chile in Santiago, Chile. With dual degrees in Telematics Engineering and Management Information Systems from Universidad Icesi, she obtained her PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Her research areas encompass Wireless Networks, Internet of Things (IoT), vehicular networking, and communication protocols. Dr. Céspedes is committed to advancing knowledge in space networking and the design of routing protocols for restricted devices. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Editor for several IEEE journals. Sandra has published extensively in prominent academic journals and conferences, and her recent works focus on innovative solutions for vehicular communications and IoT systems.
